.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...High pressure will move NE across
the N and central waters tonight, then persist across the area
Sat. The high will shift E late Sat night and Sun. A warm front
will develop along the SE coast Sat night, then lift N through
the central and N waters Sun as a cold front approaches from the
W. The cold front will move SE across the N and central waters
Sun night through Mon, then stall over the S waters Mon night as
high pressure builds in across the N waters. Low pressure will
develop along the stationary front inland over the SE U.S. Mon
night, with the low intensifying while lifting NE from near the
Outer Banks to near Georges Bank Tue and Tue night. A cold front
extending S from the low will move quickly E and SE across the
waters late Tue into Tue night. High pressure will build over the
waters Wed, and then shift E of the region Wed night while
weakening. Mariners should monitor later forecasts for possible
avoidance from the intensifying low.
