West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Strong low pressure centered near
Long Island Sound will drift W today, then will turn back E and
exit the New Jersey coast tonight as a new low develops SE of
Georges Bank. A cold front across the waters will clear E of the
area today. The new area of low pressure will pull a secondary
cold front across the waters tonight into Sat, and will track N
toward the Gulf of Saint Lawrence later Sat into Sun. A high
pressure ridge S of the waters Sat will gradually build N into
the southern waters Sat night through Mon night. The ridge will
shift E Tue and Tue night as another cold front crosses the
waters.
