West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...Strong low pressure over the
southern Gulf of Saint Lawrence this evening will track E
overnight into Mon. A forming cold front will move across the N
portion overnight, and then likely stall across the central
waters Mon. A high pressure ridge S of the waters will gradually
build N into the southern waters tonight through Mon night. The
ridge will shift E Tue and Tue night, as another cold front
crosses the area and stalls across the S waters. Another high
pressure ridge will build into the region Wed and Wed night as
the stalled front lifts N as a warm front. Developing low
pressure will approach the coast from the W Thu. The low will
track NE near the New England coast Thu night into Fri while
pulling a strong cold front across the waters. The front will
clear E of the waters later Fri and Fri night as high pressure
builds over the SE and Mid-Atlantic states.
