Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. .SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front inland over the New England and the northern mid-Atlantic states today will gradually move E and SE to near or just off of the coast tonight into Thu, reach the outer waters well off of the coast Thu night, and pass E and S of the region Fri. High pressure will build over western New England Fri into Fri night as a low pressure trough lingers over the waters behind the front. The front will stall S of the area Sat as high pressure slides E over the far southern waters. The high will pass E and SE of the waters Sat night into Sun night with the front S of the area returning N as a weak warm front, and a surface trough beginning to strengthen near the coast.
