Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. .SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure will continue to build over the area behind a cold front now south of the waters. Aside from a trough or secondary cold front moving south over the area today, high pressure then continues through Fri night. The high will gradually shift NE Sat through Sun as a coastal low moves N just offshore of the SE U.S. The low will strengthen and expand as it moves N, being centered just offshore of the mid-Atlantic coast by Sun night. The broad, complex low will extend over much of the east coast Sun night and Mon, with the broad low finally starting to shift E Mon night. Mariners should monitor later forecasts on the coastal system. This will be a long duration event for the east coast, impactful to the mariner.
