New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...High pressure over the region
will gradually shift E of the area tonight through Wed night. The
center of Hurricane Erin is expected to pass NE through the Outer
Mid- Atlantic Waters Thu night into Fri, remaining S of the
waters. Tropical storm conditions are expected to cover nearly
all of the waters along and S of Georges Bank late Thu through
Fri.. Erin will move farther away from the area Fri night into
Sat. Long period S swell from Hurricane Erin will continue
through Thu night before backing to the SE and E Fri night. A
high pressure ridge will move E across the waters Fri night and
Sat, then shift E of the area Sat night into Sun. A cold front
will near the region from the W by Sun night. For more
