New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A cold front across the far S
waters this morning, will pass S of the area early today, as high
pressure builds S across the region. The high will remain over
the area Tue, then shift E of the area Tue night through Wed
night. Hurricane Erin will be near 29.5N 73.5W at 8 AM EDT Wed,
then move to near 31.7N 73.1W by 8 PM EDT Wed night, then to
33.9N 71.6W by 8 AM ED Thu, then continue to move NE through Fri
night. Long period S swell from Hurricane Erin will move into the
region Tue, then continue through Thu night before backing to the
SE and E Fri night. A high pressure ridge will build across the
waters late Fri and Fri night. For more information on Hurricane
