Southeast Gulf of America .SYNOPSIS...High pressure is over the eastern United States and low pressure is off the Carolinas. This pattern is supporting moderate to fresh NE winds and moderate to locally rough seas across the NE and central Gulf. Winds will diminish overnight across the basin as the low pressure moves farther north, and pulls a cold front across the far southeast Gulf and Straits of Florida. Ridging will build across the Gulf by midweek, allowing for gentle to moderate easterly winds. .OVERNIGHT...N to NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. .SUN...N to NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida .SYNOPSIS...A 1006 mb gale center, remnants of Jerry, is currently near 27N63W and strong convection is noted over the eastern semicircle. Winds to gale force and rough to very rough seas will persist north of 27N between 57W and 63W through late Sun. Meanwhile, a 995 mb gale center is centered off the Carolinas and extends a cold front to South Florida. A tight pressure gradient behind the front supports strong to near gale-force N winds and rough to very rough seas. Fresh to strong S winds and rough seas are also noted ahead of the front to 73W. Winds and seas will diminish through early Mon as the low pressure moves north of the area. Looking ahead, a cold front will move southward to the east of Bermuda Tue into Wed, bringing fresh to strong W to NW winds and rough seas to the waters north of 28N and east of 60W. .OVERNIGHT...W winds 15 to 20 kt.
