Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...A strong cold front extending from Apalachicola,
Florida to Tampico, Mexico will race southeast tonight and exit
the basin Mon. Strong to near gale-force N to NE winds and rough
to very rough seas can be expected behind the front, with gale
force winds and very rough seas offshore of Veracruz Mon morning
into Mon night. Gales are also anticipated tonight offshore
Tampico. Conditions will improve basin-wide by Tue evening as
high pressure settle southward into the region.

.TONIGHT...W to NW winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming NW 15 to 20 kt
after midnight. Seas 2 ft or less, building to 3 ft after
midnight. Scattered showers.
.MON...NW to N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft, building to
7 to 10 ft in NW swell in the afternoon.
.MON NIGHT...N winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 8 to 12 ft in NW swell.
.TUE...N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft in NW to N
swell.
.TUE NIGHT...NE to E winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft.
.WED...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.

.SYNOPSIS...The areal extent of strong SW winds offshore NE
Florida will increase in the next couple of hours, ahead of a
strong cold front that will push off the SE U.S. late tonight.
The front will move SE and reach from Bermuda to eastern Cuba
Tue, then extend from 31N55W to The Turks and Caicos by Wed. NW
gales  and very rough seas are expected N of 29N Mon night
through late  Tue behind the front, with locations to the south
having strong  to near-gale force winds and rough seas after the
front passes. As the front weakens and stalls by the middle of
the week, winds and seas will gradually diminish.

.TONIGHT...S of 27N, S winds 5 to 10 kt. N of 27N, S to SW winds
5 to 10 kt, increasing to 15 to 20 kt after midnight. Seas 2 ft
or less, building to 3 to 4 ft after midnight. Scattered showers
and isolated tstms.
.MON...W winds 15 to 20 kt S of 27N, and W 20 to 25 kt N of 27N.
Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.MON NIGHT...NW winds 20 to 35 kt. Seas 6 to 13 ft.
.TUE...N winds 20 to 30 kt. Seas 6 to 9 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...NE winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft.
.WED...NE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
