Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...A slow moving cold front extends from Apalachicola
Bay to the western Yucatan Peninsula. Scattered thunderstorms
are along and ahead of this front offshore Florida. Behind the
front, strong N winds and rough to very rough seas prevail. The
cold front will move SE into Tue, exiting the basin. Winds and
seas will diminish starting Tue as high pressure builds into the
northern Gulf in the wake of the cold front. A second, relatively
weak cold front, is likely to move through the Gulf late Thu into
Fri.

.TONIGHT...SW winds 15 to 20 kt, shifting to W to NW 10 to 15 kt
after midnight. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered showers and slight
chance of tstms.
.TUE...NW to N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.
.TUE NIGHT...N winds 15 to 20 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft. Scattered
showers.
.WED...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 4 to 6 ft.
.WED NIGHT...N winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.THU...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft.

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Large N swell impacting waters N of 20N and E of 60W
will continue S into mid-week. Strong SW winds offshore Florida
will increase and expand E ahead of a cold front that will move
offshore tonight. Behind the front, strong NE winds and rough to
very rough seas will develop N of the Bahamas. The cold front is
forecast to stall Thu from Bermuda to eastern Cuba, then gradually
dissipate through the end of the week.

.TONIGHT...SE to S winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and S to SW 20 to
25 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft.
.TUE...S to SW winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and W 15 to 20 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and chance of tstms.
.TUE NIGHT...SW to W winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and NW to N 10 to
15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers and isolated
tstms.
.WED...NW winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and N to NE 15 to 20 kt N
of 27N. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Scattered showers.
