.SYNOPSIS...A cold front will move S and SE over the far northern
waters this morning, moving farther S over the northern into the
central waters today. The front will stall from near the Virginia
Capes eastward tonight through Tue night as low pressure develops
S of the frontal boundary and moves slowly N and NE. Complex,
strengthening, low pressure will move very slowly N, along or S
of the front, Wed through Fri night. Strong high pressure will
build N of the region while interacting with the frontal boundary
and complex low pressure system over the area to generate strong
NE to E gales, and potentially storm force winds and building
seas Tue through Fri night mainly over the central and northern
waters. Mariners should consider avoidance plans as this
significant weather system likely impacts most of the region Tue
through Thu night. Please monitor the latest OPC and coastal
marine forecasts.
