.SYNOPSIS...Mariners should use caution in and near any of the
stronger thunderstorms which may become more widespread over many
portions of the waters today through Thu. The stronger
thunderstorms can produce very gusty winds and very rough seas.
Otherwise, as high pressure remains over the S waters, a surface
trough will be located over the N and central waters today into
tonight. A cold front approaches from the NW early tonight,
gradually moving SE across the N waters later tonight into Thu
night as high pressure to the S retreats E. The front should
weaken and stall over the central or S waters Fri through Sat,
with weak low pressure forecast to form off of the SE U.S. coast
just S of the front along a surface trough. The front should move
back N as a weak warm front Sat night into Sun night as high
pressure to the N drifts off to the E, and any weak low pressure
drifts off of or near the SE coast.
