...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL MONTEREY COUNTY
THROUGH 745 AM PDT...

At 657 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near San Ardo, or 26 miles northwest of Paso Robles,
moving northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, frequent lightning, and pea size
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
King City, San Ardo, Bradley, San Lucas, and Colman Canyon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Storms will be capable of producing large quantities of accumulating
hail, which can make for slick and hazardous driving conditions. Slow
down, and use caution if driving.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
