South winds will gust to around 40 mph, with gusts above 55 mph in more vigorous showers and/or thunderstorms. Wind direction will be erratic in and around these showers and storms. A more abrupt wind shift to the west and potential west-northwest is anticipated between 4 and 6 pm as the main cold front plows through the area. Wednesday should feature less in the way of rain activity with afternoon humidity levels remaining elevated above 60 percent.
