.DISCUSSION...Widespread, albeit intermittent in nature, rain is anticipated
through a majority of today and into tonight. South winds will
gust to around 40 mph, with gusts above 55 mph in more vigorous
showers and/or thunderstorms. Wind direction will be erratic in
and around these showers and storms. A more abrupt wind shift to
the west and potential west-northwest is anticipated between 4 and
6 pm as the main cold front plows through the area. Wednesday
should feature less in the way of rain activity with afternoon
humidity levels remaining elevated above 60 percent. Winds will
vary between a southerly and westerly direction on Wednesday, but
will be relatively lighter with speeds anticipated to remain under
10 mph.
