Spot Forecast for Half-A-Canoe RX
National Weather Service San Francisco CA
708 AM PDT Thu Jul 3 2025

Forecast is based on ignition time of 0700 PDT on July 03.
If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather
Service.

.DISCUSSION...Some shading due to mid-level clouds is anticipated
today across the RX site with lower afternoon RH and increased
winds compared to Wednesday. While NW winds should largely be
along slope, brief periods of west flow cannot be discounted with
some of the terrain enhancements. The terrain enhancements will
contribute to gustier winds, especially this afternoon with speeds
peaking around 25 mph (thought some gusts to near 30 mph cannot
be ruled out). Increased mixing heights and elevated transport
winds should equate to excellent smoke dispersal. Less shading is
anticipated on the 4th of July with afternoon RH falling to around
25%. Mixing heights and elevated NW winds will again promote
ideal smoke dispersal.
