.DISCUSSION...Diurnally breezy northwesterly winds continue this
afternoon/evening and again tomorrow with gusts between 20 to 25
mph. Winds ease slightly overnight with gusts between 10 to 20
mph. A shallow marine layer around 800 ft remains in place but
stratus is not expected to reach the wildfire site. Overnight
temperatures cool into the 50s directly along the coast with fair
daytime humidity retention and overnight recoveries. Poorer
conditions are possible farther up the terrain east of Hwy 1 at higher
elevations due to thermal belting with drier conditions and overnight
lows in the 70s possible at higher elevations. Over the weekend winds
really ramp up over the coastal waters with impacts felt along the
immediate coastline.
