.DISCUSSION...Fairly quiet today, with the marine layer not as
prevalent around Lake Sonoma this morning. Satellite does show the
burn site on the edge of the stratus, with clouds continuing to
erode. Expect mostly sunny skies within the next few hours and then
winds gradually shifting to the southwest and west by the afternoon.
A few gusts up to 15 mph may be possible during this time and minRH
values falling to around 30-38 percent. Tonight, the marine layer
should re establish around 1200 to 15000 feet, similar to what we
saw this morning. This should bring partly cloudy skies to the burn
and RH recovery to around 75-85 percent. The RH values could be at
play here in two scenarios. Should we get more of a stratus surge,
we could be closer to 80-95 percent, but should the stratus stay at
bay we could be a bit lower and closer to 55-65 percent which has
been observed at higher elevations. Thursday, another dry day is
expected; however, there will be a good onshore push of winds. Look
for these to be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph possible.
