...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

The fire weather threat will be limited due to widespread wetting
rainfall, particularly across the Bay Area. Additional rainfall is
anticipated to spread southward toward the Central Coast later this
evening and into Saturday. Rainfall amounts across the area will
generally average between 1 and 3 inches, with greater amounts
across the higher terrain. Lighter rainfall is anticipated this
weekend before an additional period of moderate to at times heavy
rainfall unfolds across the Central Coast Thanksgiving week.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

A strong atmospheric river will continue to impact Northern
California through today, with periods of moderate to heavy
rainfall, high mountain snow and moderate south winds. Showers and
isolated thunderstorms are expected tonight through Saturday as a
cold upper trough remains offshore. A brief reprieve from the wet
and active weather will be possible Saturday night into Sunday
morning, before another series of fronts brings a return of modest
precipitation and perhaps bouts of gusty winds into early next week.
Longer lasting dry weather is forecast mid to late next week.
