The Red Flag warning will be allowed to expire at 5PM today as gusty, offshore winds continue to ease and overnight relative humidity recoveries are expected to improve from poor to moderate below 1000 feet tonight. Gusts between 25 to 40 mph remain possible through this evening before winds significantly weaken late this evening into the overnight hours. Gusty offshore winds will gradually shift to light, onshore flow by late this weekend which will ease fire weather concerns heading into early next week. However, particularly above 1000 feet, daytime relative humidity values will be slower to improve with near critically dry conditions persisting into early next week. Below 1000 feet, daytime relative humidity retention will gradually improve from 10-20% to 30-40% by the Monday to Tuesday timeframe. Above 1000 feet, relative humidity values will be slower to improve with poor overnight recoveries (20- 35%) and poor daytime retention (15-30%) to continue through midweek. By mid to late week, widespread improvements in overnight recoveries and daytime retentions are expected across elevated terrain. ...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA... Very low daytime humidity is forecast to continue today. Winds are beginning to gradually diminish later this afternoon, but breezy conditions will linger over some of the more prominent Lake County ridgetops. Easterly breezes are forecast to weaken tonight into Sunday, however it will remain locally gusty over the ridges. Humidity will generally increase on Sunday as winds turn southerly and westerly with the approach of a front. This front will bring wetting rain (a 70% to 95% chance) to Del Norte and Humboldt counties by early Monday morning. Meanwhile, for Lake and most of Mendocino Counties, wetting rain (0.10in) is 0%. ##################################################################### ## ## ## Complete a discussion for each ECCDA segment below ## ## When done click transmit, product sent as KMTRFWLMTR ## ## ## ##################################################################### ECC010-201015- St Helena ECC Dispatch- DISCUSSION FOR Marin and Sonoma and Napa Counties 307 PM PDT Sat Oct 19 2024 The Red Flag warning will be allowed to expire at 5PM today as gusty, offshore winds continue to ease and overnight relative humidity recoveries are expected to improve from poor to moderate below 1000 feet tonight.
