totals of 2 to 3 inches in the higher terrain of the Central Coast.

35-45 mph possible in the higher terrain. Post- frontal rain
showers and the chance for thunderstorms will linger into tomorrow.
Warming and drying trend is on tap Wednesday and will continue into
the weekend.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

A cold, wet system will bring more widespread rain and mountain
snow through the day. Snow level lowering to about 4500-5000 feet
today. Colder air aloft will bring increasing instability on
Monday, capable of producing brief heavy downpours with a slight
thunderstorm potential. Periods of gusty winds expected each day
through next week. A drying and warming trend is expected from mid
week and into the weekend.
