...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

An upper level system is expected to linger near the area through
the week. This will bring near near normal temperatures and high RH
in the inland areas. Winds will generally be light and terrain
driven. Thunderstorms are possible in the interior each afternoon
through Saturday. These are most likely (15-30%) Thursday and
Friday, in northern Trinity, eastern Humboldt, and eastern Del
Norte counties. Isolated thunder is possible over coastal Del Norte
and northern Humboldt Thursday evening and overnight. Friday
afternoon the thunderstorms may expand into Mendocino and Lake
counties. Gusty and erratic outflow winds and heavy downpours are
possible with the strongest thunderstorm cells. Thunder chances
start to wane into the weekend.
