...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

Marine layer clouds will continue to develop each night and linger
into the morning. Excellent overnight humidity recoveries continue
below the marine layer, but above the marine layer, elevated fire
weather threat continue with mild and dry conditions during the day
and poor humidity recoveries overnight. Onshore winds develop each
afternoon and evening, with breezy conditions along the coast and
through gaps, passes, and inland valleys. A gradual cooling trend is
expected to begin on Tuesday.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

Offshore flow continues to bring dry air and breezy winds to the
higher terrain overnight, especially in Humboldt and Del Norte
counties. Hot temperatures in the triple digits are expected for
much of the interior through early next week. Some relief from the
heat is forecast by mid week, but it is generally expected to
remain hot all next week. Winds are generally expected to be light
and terrain driven aside from the offshore winds overnight. There
is 10-15% chance for dry thunderstorms with gusty outflow winds
over northern Trinity County mountains this afternoon and a 5-10%
chance Monday afternoon.
