.DISCUSSION...Cloudy coastal conditions linger through much of the
morning with some chances for fog and drizzle. The marine layer
is affecting some of the interior valleys, but fails to transport
additional moisture to the far interior and higher elevations. The
upper level pattern changes slightly in the next few days,
offering a slight increase in onshore flow as well as a deeper
marine layer that expands farther inland. This will lead to slight
cooling and better humidity recoveries for the interior. The
coast will stay cool, moist, and cloudy with that cloud cover
building more inland into the next work week, leading to further
improvements in humidities. The cooling trend plateaus in the mid
week, but the cloudy pattern and strong marine layer presence
lasts through the week.
