...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER THREAT BEGINNING THURSDAY THROUGH EARLY
NEXT WEEK DUE TO HOT TEMPERATURES AND CURING FUELS...
.DISCUSSION...A warming and drying trend continues through the
rest of the week, with the hottest temperatures on Thursday and
Friday. Temperatures inland will reach the 90s to near 105, with
poor overnight cooling in the mountains overnight as lows reach
the lower to middle 70s. In addition, very poor daytime humidity
retention inland with poor overnight humidity recoveries in the
higher elevations will lead to curing fuels across the interior,
leading to elevated fire weather threats. Conditions will improve
slightly as a gradual cooling trend begins this weekend into the
early part of next week.
