...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER THREAT CONTINUES THROUGH TODAY...
.DISCUSSION...Another warm and dry day along with the continued
elevated fire weather threat for areas above the marine layer.
This happens to be around 1500 feet, which is where overnight
recoveries remain poor. Breezy onshore winds are expected this
afternoon and evening with gusts reaching 30-35 mph through
gaps and passes, within favored valleys, and across higher
terrain. The pattern changes on Tuesday, when the ridge breaks
down and allows for a return to cooler temperatures and coastal
drizzle, but also maintains gusty afternoon winds.
Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
