.DISCUSSION...A building ridge of high pressure is compressing the
marine layer and bringing warmer and drier conditions to inland
areas and elevations above 1,500 feet. The 24 hour RH change is
anywhere from 10-30% drier in these areas. Winds are moderate and
onshore this afternoon, but an increasing offshore gradient will
take over tonight. Offshore NE winds are expected across the
interior North Bay and East Bay mountains Friday night through
Saturday morning. The ridge axis will move over the region
Saturday, bringing still warmer and drier conditions, although the
winds should flip back to onshore. Cooler weather returns Sunday
and Monday before a more substantial warming trend through the
middle of next week.
Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
