.DISCUSSION...A 25% chance of thunderstorms continues for far interior Monterey
and San Benito counties through this evening and a 10-15% chance
across the North Bay Interior Mountains tonight. Any thunderstorms
that do develop will bring potential for locally heavy rain, small
hail, gusty winds, and lightning. Gusty northwest winds between 25
to 35 mph are possible along the coastline, mountain gaps and
passes, and within the Salinas Valley on Friday. Drier conditions
return this weekend with light offshore winds expected across the
interior mountain ranges, particularly the North Bay Interior
Mountains. However, winds will generally be light, peaking
between 5 to 15 mph, with moist fuels from recent rains helping
to mitigate the overall fire weather risk.
Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
