.DISCUSSION...Weak onshore flow continues today with cloud cover
keeping the coast cool. Areas slightly inland and well into the
interior will see clear skies, reduced RHs, and temperatures
around 10 degrees above average. The driest and windiest
conditions will be favored at higher elevations, where we may see
some gusts up to 25 mph. Increasing marine influence and onshore
flow is expected for Wednesday, leading to much cooler
temperatures in the interior and better RH values. Drizzle chances
build along the coast that night and move slightly inland, while
the marine layer also pushes even farther inland. Light rain
chances build in the North Bay into Thursday evening and spread
south and east through that night and into Friday. Overall rain
rates look to stay light with wetting rains mostly expected to
keep to the North Bay, and only trace amounts expected in the
interior East Bay through the Monterey Bay. Non-zero chances for
storms will be possible in the northernmost portions of Sonoma Co
Friday afternoon. This rain system exits into early Saturday, and
cool onshore flow continues in its wake.
