...ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER THREAT CONTINUES THROUGH THE WEEKEND DUE
TO HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS AND AFTERNOON WINDS...
.DISCUSSION...Another day of hot and dry conditions across the
interior due to high pressure over the region. Daily sea breeze
push will bring breezy winds this afternoon with gusts in the 20
to 25 mph windiest locations. Marine layer will bring some relief
tonight over the lowest elevations, but the hills will remain mild
and dry. These conditions will persist through at least Saturday,
but gradual cooling and moistening develop Sunday into next week.
Monsoonal moisture from the south brings a very low, but non-
zero, chance for elevated convection Friday and Saturday.
Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.
