...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM PST MONDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the following
county, southeastern Marin.
* WHEN...Until 245 AM PST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1144 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Rafael, Novato, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Larkspur, Corte
Madera, Tiburon, Fairfax, Sausalito, San Geronimo, Lucas
Valley-Marinwood, Kentfield, Stinson Beach, Muir Beach,
Tamalpais-Homestead, Tamalpais-Homestead Valley, Black Point-
Green Point, Strawberry, Point Reyes Station and Ross.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
