Hydrometeorological Forecast Discussion
NWS North Central River Forecast Center Twin Cities/Chanhassen MN
1221 PM CDT Wed Apr 2 2025

More mixed rain and snow moves out today and tomorrow from Minnesota,
Wisconsin, and northern lower Michigan. This area is vulnerable from
recent precip, but most impacts are looking minimal at this time.

A frontal boundary to our south is expected to drop heavy rain over
the Ohio Valley and lower Mississippi, with additional sustained
rounds of heavy rain through the weekend. Our southern area could
be involved in that activity, which presents a possibility of
significant flooding in eastern Missouri, southern Illinois, and the
southeast corner of Michigan.

River forecasts routinely incorporate 24 hours of QPF from
April 1 to September 30 and 48 hours from October 1 to March 31.
