...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of northwestern Lake and
southwestern Flathead Counties through 1000 PM MDT...

At 923 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Big Arm to 8 miles east of Kings Point.
Movement was north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Polson, Woods Bay, Bigfork, Jette, Swan Lake, Kings Point, Rocky
Point, Big Arm, Proctor, Somers, Lake Mary Ronan, Elmo, Finley Point,
Dayton, Kila, Lakeside, Rollins, and Niarada.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 2 between mile markers 105 and 113.
 Highway 83 between mile markers 70 and 90.
 Highway 93 N between mile markers 63 and 108.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Missoula.

If on or near Flathead Lake, get out of the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
