...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of central Flathead
County through 845 PM MDT...

At 801 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 20 miles northeast of West Glacier to near
Evergreen. Movement was east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph, heavy rain and frequent lightning.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Heavy rain main limit visibility and
         cause ponding on roadways.

Locations impacted include...
Evergreen, Columbia Falls, West Glacier, Apgar, Martin City, Coram,
Creston, Hungry Horse, La Salle, Nyack, and Lake McDonald.

This includes the following highways...
 Highway 2 between mile markers 125 and 169.
 Highway 93 N near mile marker 118.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
