.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions will continue the next couple
of days under a ridge of high pressure. Local winds will follow a
similar pattern the next few days, with south-southeast winds in
the morning, shifting to west-southwest by early afternoon, then
becoming west-northwest through the afternoon into the evening
hours. Winds will generally be highest during the mid-late
afternoon as regional smoke keeps stable conditions in place until
inversions break in the afternoon. Gusts will peak near 20 mph on
Tuesday and 20-25 mph on Wednesday, with the highest gusts on the
higher elevation portions of the fire.
