.DISCUSSION...There is some discrepancy in the high resolution
models whether or not storms will make it this far north, hence
the lower probabilities for storms. Easterly winds will increase
in the next two evenings, then lower a bit overnight. There may be
a slight uptick between sunrise and mid-morning as the mixed
layer develops and mixes down some of the easterlies. As you go up
the slope towards 6000 feet and higher, the easterly winds will be
stronger by 5 to 15 mph. Isolated storms possible Wednesday, but
higher chances for activity on Thursday. Besides heavy rain on
Thursday, there could be strong southerly winds between 20 and 40
mph before the rain develops, then the winds could be variable at
times as the storms move to the north. An increase in humidity is
expected through Thursday as the easterly winds will continue to
slowly pull in higher moisture from central Montana.
