.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): The heatwave is expected to continue through
Monday, bringing hot and dry conditions. Elevated fire weather concerns
are expected Monday as the ridge begins to break down, allowing gusts
of 20 to 25 mph to develop. A wind shift from the north and east is
expected between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Cooler temperatures,
increased humidity, and a chance of rain are expected Tuesday.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): A warming trend is expected through
Sunday under building high pressure. Increasing northwest flow will
support gusty winds in the mountains, especially near Glacier National
Park. A strong cold front moving in from Canada is likely late Monday
into Monday night, bringing a shift to gusty north to east winds, cooler
temperatures, and higher humidity through Wednesday. There is at least
a 60% chance of wetting rain by Tuesday evening.

West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): A warming trend will continue
through Sunday under high pressure. Strengthening northwest flow will
support gusty winds in the mountains, particularly in the higher
elevations east of Missoula. The ridge is expected to break down on
Monday, bringing elevated fire weather concerns due to increasing winds.
A strong cold front moving south out of Canada is possible late Monday
into Monday night, leading to gusty north to east winds, cooler
temperatures, and higher humidity. There is at least a 45% chance of
wetting rain by Tuesday evening.

Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): A warming trend is expected
through Sunday under high pressure. Deep mixing will support elevated
fire weather conditions, with low humidity and west-northwest wind gusts
of 15-25 mph each afternoon through Monday. A strong cold front moving
south from Canada is possible late Monday into Monday night, bringing
gusty north to east winds, cooler temperatures, and increased humidity.
