.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): A dry cold front will pass through on
Wednesday cooling temperatures a few degrees, but also increasing
westerly to northwesterly winds. Very dry air will filter in behind the
front on Thursday, despite temperatures remaining slightly cooler.
Warming trend will occur Friday into the weekend as high pressure
strengthens. Northeasterly winds will develop on Friday and may last
into the weekend.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): A dry cold front will pass through on
Wednesday cooling temperatures a few degrees, but also increasing
westerly to northwesterly winds. Very dry air will filter in behind the
front on Thursday, despite temperatures remaining slightly cooler.
Warming trend will occur Friday into the weekend as high pressure
strengthens. Northeasterly winds will develop on Friday and may last
into the weekend.

West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Thunderstorm outflow winds 40
to 50 mph are possible this evening with stronger storms. A dry cold
front will pass through on Wednesday cooling temperatures a few degrees,
but also increasing westerly to northwesterly winds. Elevated fire
weather conditions due to dry, breezy and unstable conditions are
anticipated. Very dry air will filter in behind the front on Thursday,
despite temperatures remaining slightly cooler. Warming trend will occur

Bitterroot NF (Zone 109): Thunderstorm outflow winds 40 to 50 mph are
possible this evening with stronger storms. A dry cold front will pass
through on Wednesday cooling temperatures a few degrees, but also
increasing westerly to northwesterly winds. Elevated fire weather
conditions due to dry, breezy and unstable conditions are anticipated.

Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Critical fire weather conditions
are anticipated for Wednesday due to dry, breezy and very unstable
conditions with a passing cold front. The most critical conditions are
anticipated in southern portions of the east Beaverhead, where a red
flag warning has been issued. Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are
also anticipated, which will be capable of strong outflow winds.
Warming trend will occur Friday into the weekend as high pressure
strengthens. Northeasterly winds will develop on Friday and may last
into the weekend.
