.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Showers and a few weak thunderstorms are
possible today and Wednesday. The best chance for a wetting rain will
be found generally north and east of Grangeville, and in the mountains
southwest of the Red River area. This cooler and higher humidity pattern
continues through the week. A slight moderation in temperatures with
more sunshine is expected by the weekend.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Scattered showers and a few
thunderstorms are possible today, mainly this afternoon. Wetting rains
are anticipated with the exception of a few valleys. Persistent showers
will continue into Thursday, maintaining high humidity and cool
temperatures. A wind shift to the north and east with possible light
snow above 5,000 feet is possible over the weekend.

West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Showers and a few weak
thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. Cool and showery
conditions will continue through much of this week. A wind shift to the
north with possible light snow above 5,000 feet is possible over the
weekend.

Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Southwest flow will bring
chances for showers and isolated thunderstorms across the region
today, producing localized wetting rains and keeping humidities
elevated. Probabilities for wetting rains are highest (60 to 80 percent
for the Bitterroot NF over the Bitteroot and Sapphire mountains.
Probabilities drop off significantly from the Wisdom Valley and points
east. Shower activity and cooler conditions will persist through
Friday. A wind shift to the north with possible light snow above 5,000
feet is possible over the weekend.
