...NEAR CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER IN ZONE 111 TUESDAY...
.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Hot and dry conditions are expected in the
lower elevations Tuesday. Elevated moisture and instability will lead
to isolated high-based thunderstorms across the Clearwater Mountains by
mid-afternoon and evening. Outflow winds are the primary concern, with
gusts near 50 mph. A dry cold front on Wednesday will cause
gusty westerly winds.
Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): A warming and drying trend is
expected Tuesday under high pressure. A dry cold front on Wednesday
will cause gusty westerly winds. A strong ridge of high pressure is
anticipated by the weekend, bringing warm and dry conditions.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): A warming and drying trend is
expected Tuesday, with unstable conditions in the afternoon. Elevated
moisture and instability will lead to isolated high-based thunderstorms.
Outflow winds are the primary concern, with gusts near 50 mph. A
westerly wind shift is expected Wednesday as a weak dry cold front
passes
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Hot, dry, and unstable conditions
will lead to near critical fire weather Tuesday east of the Divide in
Zone 111. Elevated moisture and instability will lead to isolated high-
based thunderstorms across the Bitterroot and northern B-D Tuesday mid-
afternoon and evening. Outflow winds are the primary concern, with gusts
near 50 mph. A westerly wind shift is expected Wednesday as a weak dry
cold front passes.
