.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Daily showers and thunderstorms continue
through the weekend. Any shower will have the potential for moderate to
heavy precipitation under a core but along the periphery lightning
potential is high. Thursday activity becomes more organized and
potential for widespread wetting rains is 40 to 50%.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Today risk of showers and
thunderstorms is mainly US-93 and east. Moderate to heavy showers are
possible under cores while along the periphery lightning potential is
high. Thursday into Friday, a widespread wetting rain becomes likely
with higher terrain potentially receiving in excess of 0.50 inch, 30 to
40% probability.

West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Today risk of showers and
thunderstorms is mainly south and east of Missoula valley. These showers
will be slow moving and potentially heavy at times. For that reason a
flash flood watch has been issued in this area. The threat of lightning
on the periphery of showers is high. While the chance for showers and
thunderstorms continues through the weekend, Thursday and Friday will be
the highest chance for widespread wetting rains.

Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Subtropical moisture is being
pushed across the Continental Divide. Expect showers and thunderstorms
to continue through the weekend. These storms will be slow moving and
have the potential to be heavy at times, caution should be observed
while working in flood prone basins and new burn scars.
