.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Easterly winds will persist today, as will
the continuing threat of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Storm
activity will pick up by mid afternoon and last well into the evening
hours. Slow moving thunderstorms will create localized heavy rain and
increase the risk for flash flooding and debris flows across recent burn
scars this afternoon/evening. Other threats will be frequent lightning
and erratic, gusty outflow winds. Afternoon storm activity will continue
on Friday.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Easterly winds will persist today, as
will the continuing threat of afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Wind
speeds will increase in the early evening. Storm activity will also
pick up by early evening and last into the nighttime hours. Slow moving
thunderstorms will create localized heavy rain and increase the risk
for flash flooding and debris flows across recent burn scars tonight.
Other threats will be frequent lightning and erratic, gusty outflow
winds. Afternoon storm activity will continue on Friday.

West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Easterly winds will persist
today, as will the continuing threat of afternoon and evening
thunderstorms. Storm activity will pick up by late afternoon and last
into the nighttime hours. Slow moving thunderstorms will create
localized heavy rain and increase the risk for flash flooding and debris
flows across recent burn scars tonight. Other threats will be frequent
