.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Unseasonable warm temperatures will continue
today under high pressure, with light south-southeast winds this
afternoon. Humidity will trend higher Friday as moisture and cloud cover
increases aloft and scattered showers develop in the afternoon. Shower
activity will become widespread Friday evening with wetting precipitation
through the weekend.
Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Unseasonable warm temperatures will
continue today under high pressure, with east-southeast winds this
afternoon. Gusts of 10-15 mph will develop along the divide and along
ridgetops. Shower activity will return Friday evening with widespread
wetting precipitation through the weekend. Much colder temperatures are
expected by early next week as a cold front moves across the divide
from Canada.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Unseasonable warm
temperatures will continue today under high pressure, with east-
southeast winds this afternoon. Gusts of 10-15 mph will develop along
the divide and along ridgetops. Shower activity will return Friday
evening with widespread wetting precipitation through the weekend.
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Unseasonable warm temperatures
will continue today under high pressure. Southerly winds will develop
east of the divide this afternoon, with gusts of 15-20 mph. Winds will
trend higher east of the divide Friday, with gusts of 20-30 mph as a
Pacific system and cold front approaches from the west. Shower activity
will return Friday evening with widespread wetting precipitation through
the weekend.
