...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN JEFFERSON...COCKE
AND EASTERN SEVIER COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM EDT...

At 543 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Newport, moving south at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Newport, Gatlinburg, Dandridge, Baneberry, Parrottsville, Smoky
Mountains-Newfound Gap, Smoky Mountains-Balsam Mountain, Pittman
Center, Del Rio, and Bird Crossing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
