...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL BLOUNT COUNTY THROUGH
815 PM EDT...

At 729 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Eagleton Village, or near Maryville. This thunderstorm was nearly
stationary.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Maryville, Alcoa, Eagleton Village, Smoky Mountains-Twentymile Creek,
Smoky Mountains-Fontana Area, Townsend, Walland, Cades Cove, and
Happy Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
