.DISCUSSION...
Dry but cold conditions will persist today. The next system comes in
tonight with chance of widespread snowfall with the heaviest
totals expected to be in the higher elevations of the southern
Appalachian Mountains. Snow will linger into Thursday morning in
northeast Tennessee and in the mountains. Highs will remain below
freezing on Thursday, allowing for little melting.
