482 FNUS74 KMRX 121907 FWSMRX Spot Forecast for Mission 77...TEMA National Weather Service Morristown TN 307 PM EDT Mon May 12 2025 Forecast is based on forecast start time of 1500 EDT on May 12. If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service...at 1-800-697-0075. If possible, please provide feedback for every spot forecast request. .DISCUSSION... A band of showers and embedded thunderstorms was situated from the Kentucky border, southward through the SAR location and greater Knox metro area this afternoon. Radar trends suggest this will continue to affect the SAR location for at least another couple of hours, but potentially longer. Trends have been downward with regard to lightning so that threat should be fairly low for the next hour perhaps, but there is enough instability around to warrant concern for additional lightning as we go through the afternoon. Rainfall chances should taper off this evening and remain relatively low overnight. Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible tomorrow but I expect coverage will be much less than today. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Mostly cloudy (65-75 percent). Showers and thunderstorms likely. Chance of pcpn......70 percent. Max temperature.....Around 76. Surface winds (mph).East winds 6 to 9 mph. .TONIGHT...
