Fire Weather Planning Forecast for East Tennessee...Southwest
Virginia...and Extreme Southwest North Carolina
National Weather Service Morristown TN
117 PM EDT Sun Aug 3 2025

.DISCUSSION...

The area is set for an unseasonably pleasant stretch of weather over
the next three days. A cooler airmass will keep high temperatures
below average for early August, with most locations seeing highs
only in the low 80s. While an isolated shower remains possible each
afternoon, ample sunshine is expected with lower humidity than is
typical for this time of year. Overnight lows will be quite
comfortable, dipping into the low to mid-60s.
