...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southern Hamilton County.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other
  areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 744 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor
    flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Up to 1.5 inches of
    rain has fallen.
  - Even though the rain has ended it may take some time for
    flood waters to recede.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Chattanooga, Signal Mountain, Walden, Ridgeside, Harrison,
    Fairmount, Red Bank, Collegedale, East Ridge, East Brainerd,
    Ooltewah, Middle Valley, Harrison Bay State Park, Lookout
    Mountain and Apison.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
