The National Weather Service in Marquette has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Iron County in south central Upper Michigan...

* Until 1030 PM CDT.

* At 928 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from 7 miles southwest of Kenton to near Phelps, moving
  east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Iron River, Crystal Falls, Stambaugh, Amasa, U.S. 141 between
  Covington and Amasa, Caspian, Gaastra, Alpha, Way Dam, Stager,
  Hagerman Lake, and Golden Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Persons in campgrounds should seek sturdy shelter until these storms
pass.
