This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Upper
Michigan and western Upper Michigan.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Light to moderate snow spreads northward across the U.P. today.
Some rain will mix in with snow closer to the Lake Michigan
shorelines. Additional snowfall accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are
expected for most of the area, with lower totals near 1 inch or
less expected along the Great Lakes shorelines. A Winter Weather
Advisory is in effect for most of Upper Michigan today into this
evening. Slippery travel conditions are expected for the morning
and evening commutes today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

Some moderate to heavy lake-effect snow bands could be seen at
times Tuesday and Tuesday night over mainly the eastern half of
Upper Michigan. These high snowfall rates could create quickly
deteriorating travel conditions across the northwest snow belts.

Several inches of lake-effect snowfall is expected over the west-
northwest to northwest snow belts the rest of this week through
this weekend. The snowfall could make travel hazardous at times.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are encouraged to submit snowfall reports to the National
Weather Service via phone, on our website, or through Facebook or
Twitter.
