.DISCUSSION...

Smokey conditions will be the rule for all of Isle Royale today as
northwest to west flow advects dense wildfire smoke into the park. Dense smoke
will complicate today`s temperature forecast and prohibit mixing. Initially,
temperatures will start out in the low to mid 60s, gradually rising into the low 70s
by afternoon, however, given the dense smoke confidence remains low on how much warming
will occur. Dewpoints remain in the low 50s, leading to min RHs between 40-50%. Should
temps remain cool, min RHs may only dip into the 50s. Otherwise, NW winds 5-10 kts gusting
to 15 kts gradually back to the SW this evening, becoming 10-15 kts with gusts between 15 to 20.
